The PS5 HDMI Port Repair Process

First, we free the motherboard from the console and remove all other parts to prevent damage from the intense heat. Next, we inspect the HDMI port under a microscope to determine the level of damage and then remove the old, damaged port.

After removal, we inspect the area again. Sometimes we find ripped pads, broken capacitors, diodes, or other issues from the physical damage. We clean the site and solder a new HDMI port to the motherboard. Once the new port is installed, we fully assemble the system and test it to ensure everything works properly.

To prevent future damage, we recommend using an HDMI Port Surge Protector for both your TV and PS5.
